Apple is willing to share push notification data with law enforcement agencies in the United States

Apple has updated its legal filing to indicate that the company will comply with requests from law enforcement authorities in the United States to provide information about the Apple ID associated with the push notification service.

The company is ready to transfer metadata of Push notifications, including device type and model, time of sending, software version, user email and other data, only at the request of the court.

When push notifications are enabled, Apple and Google create a small piece of data (a token) that links the user's device to account information provided by the companies.

This data may be used to attempt to link anonymous instant messenger users to specific Apple or Google accounts.
